Prayer Ministry – We at Calvary Chapel Republic place prayer at the forefront of the ministry. We believe the Church can only move foward on her knee’s. Jesus said; “My house shall be called a house of prayer” Matt. 21:13. Therfore, we desire to further God’s kingdom, not ours and bathe this ministry in prayer. Prayer teams have been raised up to continually pray for this ministry, one another and the community we serve. There are no prerequisites to join a pray team, only a heart that is set towards God and to move His Heart to provide and protect His people.
Men’s Ministry – One of the most powerful opportunities for spiritual growth for men is to become a part of the men’s ministry. The men’s ministry is a combination of prayer, discipleship and fellowship. We offer monthly men’s breakfasts which are informal, relaxed gatherings with an emphasis on building relationships and spiritual growth. There is also an annual men’s retreat that provides specific teachings to equip and refresh the men.
Womens Ministry – There is great power when women pray. We see many examples in the Bible of women ministering to Jesus and then within the church. Paul commends many Godly women in his epistles. It is important to have a ministry that enables the women to study the Word, pray, encourage one another, foster friendships, evangelism and leadership development in women’s ministry. Potlucks and brunches, an annual weekend retreat, special one day conferences and support groups for special needs are also encouraged.
Children’s Ministry We here at Calvary Chapel recognize the importance of a sound biblically centered Children’s Ministry. It is our strong hope and desire that God’s Word be presented to the children in a manner that would enable them to grasp Biblical principles early on in their lives, and to encourage them in the development of a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through prayer and preparation, we co-labor with you toward this end.
Worship Ministry – We believe that God created us that we might worship Him. Therefore, we provide opportunities for worship in the various services, Bible studies and retreats. Our worship involves various types of music and musical instruments. The Bible gives many examples where these instruments have been used to inspire and facilitate worship (2 Samuel 6:5, Exodus 15:20, 1 Chronc. 15:16). Many of the songs that we sing are directly from the Bible. We believe worship is directed to God and that it is from the heart and not the lips. Psalms 100:2-4 says “…..come before His presence with singing…..Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.” Therefore the entire congregation is the choir and we encourage you to worship the Lord. The raising of hands (Nehemiah 8:6), is completely acceptable if you feel so led.
Usher’s Ministry – Your first contact with this ministry may have been with an usher. They serve as the gatekeepers (1 Chronicles 9:2) and are in charge of the chambers and treasuries of the Lord. You will see the ushers serving communion, welcoming you at the door, helping you find your way around and preventing disturbances or distractions from the flock. The ushering ministry is always looking for faithful men & women to serve in this trusted office.
Meals on Wheels Ministry – This ministry is a community outreach to provide hot meals daily to the senior citizens of the community. It is a chance to give your time to the elderly who are unable to get out for themselves. The Senior Center in Republic prepares and provides these meals free of charge to the senior citizens. They’re only need are drivers to volunteer their time to a daily route and deliver these meals. Jesus said; “Whenever you’ve done this to the least of my brethren, you’ve done it unto me” Matt. 25:40
Spanish Ministry – With a growing increase of Hispanics into our community, God has given our Pastor the vision for the Spanish people. We hold monthly meetings individually and corporately within the Spanish community. Our vision is to equip them with the necessary tools to help them grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. “Gracias de Dios” is our outreach ministry that aims at providing physical, educational and spiritual help through monthly and seasonal outreaches.
Radio Ministry – LPFM – Low-Powered FM Station. 107.9 His Wave FM Radio currently ministers to the needs of our local community through the airwaves. We are excited with this unique opportunity to minister God’s Word to the heart of the people. Technical knowledge and communications skills are a plus. This ministry is wide open should God open your heart to this. The possibilities are endless!

Getting Plugged In – It is our hope that you will find Calvary Chapel a place to call home. There are many ways to become involved and many different areas to choose from. We at Calvary Chapel believe that a Christian is a member of the body of Christ once he or she has been born again (John 3:3). To be considered a member of Calvary Chapel, you would attend our services regularly, support the ministry financially and serve the Lord somewhere in the church. We encourage you to pray about how and where God would have you become involved, but we do ask that you first attend Calvary Chapel here for two continuous months before becoming involved. This enables you to get to know the ministry and our pastor, to understand the vision and philosophy of ministry, to see where we are going and to develop some friendships in the church. Then simply contact us, or respond to the opportunities listed in the bulletin. Some areas of ministry have training requirements and guidelines which you must first be aware of.
